A high-pressure ridge extended over Ireland resulting from a 1029 hPa anticyclone centered east of Ireland, over Wales. Overnight mist and fog lingered for some time along parts of the southern and eastern coasts before clearing. The day was mostly sunny, with little to no rainfall and prolonged sunny spells, particularly in the South and West. Conditions remained bright throughout the day, with only a few isolated light showers. After dusk, clear skies persisted into the night.
