Mostly cloudy morning, with patchy rain and drizzle spreading from the northwest, but it became drier and brighter in the Southwest with sunny spells. During the afternoon, the cloud and rain became largely confined to the north and east, while a mix of sunshine and scattered showers occurred elsewhere. Much of the country became dry in the evening, with moderate to fresh northwest winds. The night was dry across most of the country with clear spells, although there was a chance of a few showers in the east. A few mist patches formed overnight.
